Hot Section Chef (Seafood Restaurant)

Position: Hot Section Chef
Department: Kitchen Operations
Reports To: Head Chef / Sous Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hot Section Chef with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a seafood restaurant in the same position. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality hot seafood dishes while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present hot seafood dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Ensure all seafood products are handled, stored, and cooked properly.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hot section at all times.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Manage mise en place and ensure adequate stock levels for daily operations.
• Assist in inventory control and report shortages or wastage.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and appearance of all dishes served.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods and meet order timelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Hot Section Chef in a seafood restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of seafood preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
